Dining Tables
The table is the anchor of any dining area, whether you are fortunate enough to have a dedicated dining room or open plan living area. The correct combination size, style and finish are crucial when choosing the perfect piece for your scheme. How you intend to use your dining area is the key to your decision. Many smaller modern living areas don’t have a dedicated dining room, opting rather for open plan living areas where the dining table is often used for food preparation, homework and family projects. Whatever your lifestyle and space, it is always sensible to consider a durable, easy to clean and maintain surface. In choosing the correct size, always remember to leave sufficient room to move around the table. At least one metre on each side is recommended if you are going to be walking around the table. In normal home use the rule of thumb is to choose a table that can accommodate your household members, plus two. This eventuality will ensure that dinner guests won’t feel cramped.
